Hello folks,
I've been playing the Championship Manager/Football Manager series since 1996 and even if lately my relationship with the game has been less stable, I thought that something should have been done to celebrate these (wasted) twenty years of gaming.
This is the main reason why you're reading this post, I blogged about Football Manager in several places in the past, but I had no more a proper blog to talk about it; Football Manager Beyond (some nerdy references in this title...) is going to fix this issue.
The community has been changing a lot during these twenty years.
Right now the rise of You tube content producers looks unstoppable, anyway a lot of blogs are still around with great content and inspiring ideas, so I'll try to put some efforts in this one and see what happens.
If you're interested, and probably you are, in good FM related blogs, be sure to check these sites, they're among my favourites.
Some of the best Football Manager blogs
This site will be focused on my career, of course this will be a good starting point to explore the new game: tactical match engine tuning, pesky social media, an improved version of FM Touch etc...
I'm still undecided about what kind of game to start, but there's no hurry, FM 2017 will be out November 4th and I'll keep you updated about my choice.
My master plan would include a slow burning (one-club-only) career, because lack of time must be taken into consideration, I'm open to suggestions on that.
Meanwhile I'm making some experiments with the beta version of the game.
The first major thing that I've noticed is that it runs quicker than last year, if your computer is capable enough 64-bit support makes the difference.
The second is that the official skins from SI are still poor and as usual we have to rely on the community to have an easy on the eyes layout.
That's all for now, don't forget to follow my twitter account for more info and news about future developments.
If you enjoyed this post, I’d be very grateful if you’d help it spread by emailing it to a friend, or sharing it on Twitter or Facebook. Thank you!
Regards.
